Themed Training from SSCP Partner Agencies

Many of our partner agencies offer multi-agency training opportunities on a variety of specialist themes. We will update this section as and when training becomes available. Please contact the training provider direct for further course information and attendance.

The Learning Centre (TLC)

Improving Multi-Agency Pre-Birth Planning

This eLearning module is available to anyone interested in the topic and free to access and has been developed in recognition of the additional vulnerabilities of babies and very young children and learning from case reviews which highlight the need to consider the safeguarding of unborn babies through effective pre-birth planning.

This training has been developed in partnership between Somerset’s Children’s Services and Health Services and has drawn on the expertise of practitioners in this field. The training is available on The Learning Centre (TLC).

Avon and Somerset Police

This hub is an interactive tool providing teachers and educators access to lesson plans created by Avon and Somerset Police aligned to local policing priorities.
The lesson plans can be downloaded and delivered by teachers, or there is a facility to request support of your local policing team.
The hub provides links to a number of schemes, policies and partners who can support the PSHE agenda.
The lesson plans are aimed primarily at Years 7-9 but need to be reviewed against the context of the class they are to be delivered to check they are suitable.
