The SSCB runs Audit Sub-Groups, which are multi-professional, multi-agency panels, meeting on a regular basis. The purpose is to audit the quality of multi-agency working and adherence to child protection policies and procedures. The audits draw on a variety of written reports from a variety of agencies, on an agreed programme of review.
The Groups also look at the evidence for the effectiveness of child protection practice and procedures.
All work-streams consider how well the Voice of the Child is represented in single and multi-agency child protection practice.
This practice is also expected to reflect the Voice of the Child throughout relevant SSCB multi-agency, and single agency, policies, procedures and practice.
The work-plan is determined by the Quality and Performance Subgroup (Q&P) which is linked to the SSCB business priorities.
